For what it's worth - another Saturn image.
Rings are really closing up now, its getting harder to catch the Cassini division. This is just a test shot - I fitted the new focuser today, and had to muck about with a chopped barlow - minus the lens to get me to the necessary focal point. SPC900NC Webcam and C8N-GT.

Not bad at all John.
The rings are closing fast is right!
Tell me,
do you have an IR filter fitted to the webcam?
Also,
I reckon you could increase the brightness a little before AVI capture
this might gleen a brighter finished shot for you.

Frank,
Yeah got an IR/UV block filter fitted to the camera. You're not wrong it looks a little dark, then again I haven't done any post processing.
The AVI's seemed plenty bright, could be the screen on my laptop is showing things brighter than they actually are - I'm looking at this in work now and it looks very dark.

Yep, not bad at all John, a bit dark, but still has the unmistakable details on it.

That's not to bad at all Jonh, it's a little dark
but otherwise look's to be sharp and well focused
so how is the new focuser.
