Good image Dave.
Looks a little cold/blue though and slightly grainy.
However, the Cassini ring is clear as is the shadow of the planet on the rings ans the colour banding in the atmosphere. Good work!

Thats a super image Dave, well done!!!!
Question: How did you manage to get Saturn into your field of view at F30, using the CGE11". I have been frustrated trying to do so at F20 on the CGE11 recently, and have yet to be successful..... any tips welcome
Again well done on your capture!!!!

Completely agree Michael thats why I'm going to reprocess it. Saturn is quite dim now so its hard to pull bright detail w/o getting some sort of grain. I was so chuffed to get decent seeing(first time this winter/spring!!!) I rushed this out. It's very easy to get overexcited at the wavelet stage. BTW much appreciate taking that phone call at such an early hour.
Steve What cam are you using. Remember the pixels in the Skynyx are different to a TOUcam say and give a smaller image.

Hi Dave,
I am using the DMK 31AF03 firewire monochrome camera, with a pixel size of H: 4.65 µm, V: 4.65 µm and resolution of H: 1024, V: 768.
In my case, the extra extension of the Barlow, with the weight of the camera attached must be influencing the orientation/balance enough to throw it out of the field of view, thats why I am so impressed with you getting to F30 with the CGE11 inch.
Again well done on that image, most impressive.
Any ideas?

Sorry think i misread you. If you cant get the image on the chip try this. Put in a high power e/p and centre planet. Check its positon in the finder scope. remove e/p and put in cam filter wheel etc n check finder again you may see that saturn has moved. now jsut realign to the where it was when you had the e/p in. I have the same prob with the Skynyx (which is a really heavy cam btw) and the ATK filter wheel.
