Hi Bart thanks for the kind words i've just sent you a pm with the image details.
Dave thanks and well spotted the lens did infact dew up a little, i think i will call you Dave Hawkeye Lillis in future
Thanks Frank you can probably see from the image itself i have done very little processing, brighened it up ever so slightly and toned down the sodium vapour illuminating the stone to a more pleaseing shade of orange(if there is such a thing  ).
John as always i know you really appreciate these type of images and thanks for the compliments. The stones have a number of alignments some of which are to complex to start explaining here. But my good friend and leading authority on the subject of Boyne valley megalithic alignments Anthony Murphy has wrote about these stones in one of the chapters in his excellent book Island of the setting sun.
Dave ,Carl was getting on to me when i told him i don't submit to magazines.I must start, as you know i have been contributing to the TWAN project as a guest contributer this project has a peace theme attached which is close to my heart.Oh and thanks a million for the encouragement and kind words and well done on the image in the sky at night mag great work as usual

Cheers Declan,
I have Anthony's book - can you give me some reference to the stones so I can relate them to Anthony's narrative? I presume it is the large Baltray stone, and - ah, yes, the alignment would be the winter solistice with Rockabill - nuff said
