Mercury showing phase was created by Frank Ryan
I decided for the craic to take a webcam image of Mercury this evening
seeing as it was clear.
Taken at 9:53:04 PM with an
ETX-125 & SPC900 Webcam it's a 1min 46sec AVI, Processed in Registax.

Shows the current phase nicely.

Nicely done Frank, and to add, this is the first time I have seen Mercury show a phase. Thumbs up.

nice one Frank, that little 6 arc second planet shows a nice phase, watch its diameter get bigger as the phase decreases over the coming weeks, it'll be cool !

Good work Frank, I tried too, but was beaten by the clouds :( I remember only once seeing Mercury through the scope about 10 years ago about this phase.
