Hi John,
Considering the seeing last night that is a very good result lot’s of detail and very well processed. Well done.

This is not a pretty picture by any means. It does have a scientific value though. There is direct evidence here that lunar craters were formed by BPCs*, and not in some ridiculous asteroid/meteor collision era. :D

That's a really bad bad bad sign for the upcoming eurovision contest for Ireland! Poor Dustin's cousin :(

Call NASA maybe they could make it "peck of the day"

I think you mean 'Astronomy Peckture of the Day (APOD)' Well thats how Dave McDonald pronounces it anyway :D

I'd like to extend my personal thanks to Anthony Ayiomamitis for arranging this. You have done your Irish friends a wonderful service by ridding us of that blasted turkey. It's easy to see why he sings so badly. Well its hard to keep perfect pitch with some guys hand up ........ well we wont go there.

Nice picture and post John.

Regards and Clear Skies,

Dave.

Oh the eurovision... I thought this was some Helenistic military operation on first reading!
