Another fab galaxy captured Eamonn well done.
From what I'm led to believe it's a very difficult
target to extract fine detail from which you have
successfully done great work.

Dave L,
Your right! It is the Blackeye Galaxy.
Dave G said it was the Sunflower Galaxy when it was uploaded on Webtreatz.
So I assumed he knew.
Thanks for noticing Dave

nothing to worry about Eamonn, I only recognised it as I saw both recently through the scope.

Thanks lads, I'm glad you all liked the image.
I have found that May has had much better seeing conditions. There has been far less moisture in the air. I've checked the RH regularly and it has been down 15 per cent on average by midnight.
These conditions help a lot for the more difficult targets to image, in particular trying to extract subtle detail in galaxies.

Eamonn - nice core detail.
How do you process the B, V and R channels with respect to RGB? Also, do you synthesise the Clear (luminance) channel?
Cheers
Dave
