Hi Guys,
This image was processed awhile back and was published in A&S.
The processing took awhile to refine the detail. Only a B filter was used.
Its interesting how much detail one can extract by multiple stacking. In this case 20 frames. However, I actually spent a lot of time refining each frame. I hope you all like it.

Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

Stunning image Eamon, the detail you've captured is amazing. Do you know if the objects at the four o'clock position and at the bottom of the image are other galaxies?

Eamonn,
Galaxies are very tough animals to capture and you have done a fine job. I really like all of the very fine detail around the core and outwards!
