With the introduction of the fantastic QHY8 there seems to finally be a move towards high resolution without the ultra-high costs we are used to. Now the QHY8 is about £1400 but there is a new kid on the block that may even be a rebadged version of the cam:
Orion Starshoot Pro 6MP & it costs $1300!!!!!!
Compare that to the Starlight Express SXVF-M25C and it's an absolute bargain at a 3rd of the price with the same chip! Going to keep my eyes on this one. Haven't seen any QE figure yet but the SE is up at 60% in green which is OK for a colour imager of that res I think.
