I thought living in Dublin was bad, what must it be like living in Manchester or Birmingham? An astronomer would have to drive to Scotland or Wales for some decent dark skies.

On it I can see separately the orange sodium lights of Larne town and just to the right the high intensity white security lights of Larne Harbour which are my worst source of light pollution.
Perhaps I should send them the picture and point out that they can be seen from space! Do you think they'd turn them down a bit??
