AR10999 in White (IR) light was created by daveg
This little fellow is showing some nice detail up close. Conditions were awful - 20mph winds and passing clouds.

How interesting, very subtle detail surrounding the spot.
I look forward to the sketching challenge in white light.
Did you take any of this active region in H alpha ?

Thnx Carl.

Deirdre - Let us know how you get on sketching in white light. It was probably the day that was in it but until i put on the IR filter the image was hopping all over the place. Maybe try observing thro' a red filter to steady the image??
