Globular Cluster M 56 NGC 6779 was created by eansbro
Hi guys,
I took this image a couple of weeks ago. I only recently processed it 2 days ago.
This target is not that prominent like the popular globular clusters. Imaging was challenging with a narrow corridor of darkness to the south.
Image of M56 , NGC 6779

Taken on 18th June 2008
Using 0.9m Wynne Newt. at f/4
plus AP8p CCD
Exposures: L 10 x 30 secs
Processed with MIRA PRO 7.5

A great image, some good detail and the core is not over exposed !

Dave,
The reason the core isn't overexposed is because the image was initially processed using DDP Digital Development via Maxim/DL
in order to display the the very dim and very bright details
of the image simultaneously.

It seems that the core is not as dense as other globulars Eamonn, I know that it is also not as well known or observed compared to the bigger and brighter ones
