Another Lidl astrophoto

Another shot of the moon taken through my apartment window with the Lidl refractor and the digital eyepiece that came with the Lidl microscope. Stacking and minor processing in Registax.

I know it's not much, but it's digital astro photography for less than ... what? 150 euro?!?!?! (excluding the cost of the PC - but you wouldn't be reading this if you didn't already have one!).

Great picture! Hard to believe that the words "Lidl" and "astro-photography" would ever appear in the same sentence! Wonder if we could convince them to do a special on a Lidl Orbital Infrared-Optimized Space Telescope? Maybe it could hook up with the Lidl Reusable Launch Vehicle. Or maybe that's hoping for too much...

With the prices they have charged on some of their goods, I reckon clubs like TAS could purchase one of those!

Mr. O'Byrne, that is a great image you took! Indeed, it is hard to put the two word Lidl and astrophotography in the same sentence!
