I've been meaning to post these for ages. I took them last January using slide film. Not perfect, but seeing as though all my previous attempts were quite disasterous I'm quite happy with them.

Pretty cool Amanda. Some of the easiest, and under the right conditions, the most scenic, of stellar shots one can achieve with nothing more than patience and a good variable time camera. By the way, what camera did you use, and can you remember the settings?

Thanks! I can't remember the settings, but the exposures were 10 and 30 minutes respectively. And I use a Phenix SLR.

Well done Amanda.
I love the Orion one.
The difference in the colours of the stars and
M42 is well defined.
Whats the squiggly bit in the second shot?

Amanda,
As noted by others, some of the easiest and yet most impressive photos involve star trails.
Next time out, add some scenery to the field of view (such as trees) so as to enrich the overall result.
Nice work.
