Hi Folks,

This is my first time attempting to image Andromeda, last Wednesday

The Andromeda Galaxy, also known as Messier 31, M31, or NGC 224; is a spiral galaxy approximately 2.5 million light-years away in the constellation Andromeda. It is the nearest spiral galaxy to our own, the Milky Way. The Andromeda Galaxy and the Milky Way are approaching one another at a speed of 100 to 140 kilometers per second (62–87 miles/sec.; 223,200–313,200mph).The impact is predicted to occur in about 2.5 billion years.

Taken with a standard Canon 350D, with a Sigma 70 - 300mm Lens at 286mm, F5.6. AStack of 60 x90 Second exposuresusing an Astronomik EOS Clip-in CLS Filter. Location: Cherrymount, Waterford

A lot has to said for your mount again Steve, the tracking is spot on, there's good dust detail captured there, nice and sharp at f5.6 too.

P.S. I noticed a few weeks ago walking up to the shop that a certain light has gone missing outside your backgarden

must put up a 'missing' poster for that one
