Exoplanet transit XO-3b in Cam was created by ayiomamitis
Dear group,

Second time lucky with this particular challenging exoplanet and whose depth is only 9.3 mmag. It is one of the heaviest exoplanets discovered so far with an estimated mass almost twelve times that of Jupiter and in spite of a similar radius (1.2 Jovian radii).

For a result based on five hours total time, please see www.perseus.gr/Astro-Photometry-XO-3-20081120.htm ... the other four discoveries by the XO team are now slowly becoming seasonal and I hope to have results over the next couple of weeks and as the weather permits.

Clear skies!

Anthony.

PS. I am pulling my hair with the weather ... please don't tell Seanie. :P

Anthony - as ever, excellent work. All the more so since you are doing it with a 6" aperture : blink:

Thanks guys!

The predictions for Tuesday and Wednesday evening are quite good which should translate to two more exoplanet hits. I have nailed sixteen exoplanets so far and I have another ten or so outstanding. After that things get really exciting since I will be going after the remaning twenty-odd transitting exoplanets which no one else will touch (parent star between mag 13 and 18).

Anthony.
