Hi guys

Im thinking of getting a guide scope and am wondering which would be the best way to go. I definately want to be able to attach it to my SCT (tube rings perhaps) and maybe even use it for imaging at larger f ratios and let the sct do the guiding.

But then i understand that you have this potential problem of flexing so there must be an optimal weight limit that can be accomadated.

Now you can get a basic one for £89 in TH. But I wonder if it is worth saving up for a better one (maybe even a small apo or semi apo).

My guess would be to invest in a decent set of rings and a light tube.
I wouldn't worry about whether it is semi-apo or anything if it's just for guiding.
If it's for imaging, then go for the best apo you can afford.

Michael.
