For me the pick of the bunch has to be pic number 2. Very similar to my Binocular view. I remember saying to the gang at the Greystones viewing session that although each type of viewing method was beautiful in its own way, with the close up scope view having beautiful lunar surface detail and then the Brilliant Blue diamond like Venus with beautiful diffraction spikes from my spider vanes, so close to the crescent Limb. Then you had the naked eye view with the overall beautiful scene of the Crescent moon, Venus so close to the Limb and Jupiter all close to a nice horizon.

But my binocular view really had something special with the detail on the lunar surface, Earthshine lighting up the darkside, Jupiter in the frame with its moons......and some haze surrounding the Lunar and Venusian scene with an etheral glow. I remember saying to the gang that this Binocular view would make a beautiful photo

Well thats what you have captured with pic number 2. Thats what I saw through my binos and what I was talking about.

Simply Beautiful!!

Hi,
Galilean moons, earth shine, you got it all in there, probably the best images so far,
Thanks for putting them up. :)

Cool shots Joanne! What camera did you use? The zoom on it looks pretty good as you got the Jovian moons. The one with the triplet through thin cloud is the best I reckon.
