My first moon photos

Hi,
my first post in ages on the site and my first post in this section.

I got my first photos of the moon last thursday.
I know I have a long way to go, but its a start.

I used a 6 inch Newtonian and a basic digital camera.

Thanks for the support. I know I have a lot to learn about the night sky and getting good photos.

The first ten shots, I added a blue tint, using the Gamma Correction in Paint Shop Pro 6.02. The rest are, as they were shot with the camera.

I have some higher resolution photos which I am going to greay-scale to black and white to see more detail. I've also noticed when I reverse the photo to negative I get details I haven't noticed before.

Great fun to mess around with when the nights are cloudy.:S I will post these on the site next week sometime.

I hope it will be clear tonight as I'm going to try for Saturn.

Any hints or tips that you can give would be great.

That's an excellent first attempt. Great contrast levels and nice and sharp. Well done.
