Price drop of DMK cameras was created by michaeloconnell
Got an e-mail today saying that some of the DMK cameras have dropped in price.
The USB and Firewire cameras of 1280 x 960 and 15fps have dropped in price from 740euro to 490euro.

I have the DFK 21 running at 60 fps. They work pretty well and are easy to use. Its new role is as an autoguider.

What would you think of the large chip ones John?
They only run at 15fps - is this a fast enough rate I wonder?
Michael.

I would think that you would need pretty good seeing as 15 fps may not be fast enough to cut through the atmospheric distortion. I have seen some excellent results with one of these cameras though (using red/green /blue filters)

I'd defiantly go for the high frame rate (60fps)
and for me the best overall option would be the
frewire colour one.
Pete Lawerence did a side by side test in S@N a while back
between this model and the equivalent in Skynux and you could
barely tell them apart.
Obviously the mono one with filters will give you the best results.
I was going to buy on in the States last year put they were
out of them as they were the most popular.
Glad now I didn't.
I think and early letter the the jolly fellow in the red suit is on the cards.
