Here is a shot I took of the Ring Nebula (lyra) from Boher. The image is cropped from the main picture asit is quite a small object.
9 x 2 minute subs with a 450D, CLS filter on an unguided CGE 11 at F6.3 (and not a "comet" in sight:P

Yes, that's a good image. You got the central star in there too. Nice colours in the nebula too.
