Bragan mountain co.monaghan

Last night 4 of us went down to simons observing site at bragan mountain just outside clougher in co. monaghan.
The views where outstanding with the milky way towering overhead i took a few pics to give an idea of what we saw

Those are brilliant, Jonathan. Yes it was fabulous last night.:woohoo: I live at the foot of Bragan, near Bragan Cross.

The Coathanger really stands out in those.
Looks like a nice dark site.

It's a superb site, with a 360degree panorama, and high enough to be above the fog. The Milky Way last Saturday night was the best I have ever seen from Ireland. We observe from a cemented picnic area, large enough for about 8-10 people including telescopes.
