Wocka Wocka Wocka - NGC 281 was created by johnomahony
After my second night attempting to image this I finally managed to get some type of picture before the mist rolled in again. Two hours setting up the mount, unknown tracking errors, a slipping tripod screw and finally the haze: angry:

I managed to get 60 minutes of exposure although I wanted about 2.5 hours through the Megrez 72 before the weather broke.

I was also using the new Skywatcher field flattener. It looks like it did a pretty decent job with the Megrez 72 (ignore the tracking errors)

A good image there John, the tracking doesnt seem so bad to me.
Like you say a longer exposure would be of benifit.

Not a bad image John.
Slight tracking errors as you say.
Top left corner seems to be the most affected though.
However, focus is good and nebula looks well.
As you say, some longer exposures might help.

Michael.
