M33 The Triangulum Galaxy was created by carlobeirnes
Hi All,
Well this will be my last image till March. My new mount won’t be arriving till then; anyway here is an image of M33 the Triangulum Galaxy. This is one of the hardest galaxies that I’ve tried to process. I also had 2 hours of H Alpha data but I wasn’t too sure on how to add it to the RGB. When I did combine it to the RGB it totally over powered the image with red data and looked horrible.
LLRGB= 360-180-180-180 @-20 degrees Darks was 180min @-20 degrees.

Excellent image there Carl, stunning detail!!
It'll make for a good map of the region when I go observing that part of the sky with the big scope again.

Excellent image Carl. One of your finest IMHO.
Loads of fine detail in there.
Nice tribute to your mount.
Roll on the Gemini G42!

In relation to your problem above, load the RED master image into Photoshop first so that it will be the background layer. Then layer the H-a master image on top of the RED and (1) change the blending mode to LIGHTEN and (2) play around with the opacity from anywhere from 20 to 80%. Once you have something you like, flatten the two layers so that you will have a new RED master image and then proceed as usual in creating your master RGB and then layering the LUMINANCE on top etc etc.
Anthony.

PS. By the way, what I describe above is done on the non-linear stretched images and not the original masters.
