When is it BTW?
Actually when is the next 100% eclipse?
I hear it's in 2012?!

My result from 2008 which appeared on NASA APOD - antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap080820.html - has led to many similar efforts for this past eclipse since it was the next such opportunity.
My result from the other day using the same format is the following: www.perseus.gr/Astro-Eclipses-2009-12-31b.htm .
My sincerest congratulations to Frank for today's LPOD appearance. Nice reward for being under the night sky on New Year's Eve.
Best wishes to everyone here on IFAS for the New Year!
Anthony.
Michael,Yes, it's very nice.
I've seen Anthony do this a few times - that effect will be my target at the next lunar eclipse (weather permitting).

Thanks Anthony...
but.. I was actually at my front door
with the scope and camera set up...
beer in hand with the neighbours
having some good craic!
At the very least they all got a good look at the
Moon and genuinely seemed interested in the eclipse...
(either that...
or the fact Terry was handing them out
refills through the sitting room window)
