Hi from new member

Hi everyone

I've been visiting this site for a couple of weeks now and so i decided to join. Its fantastic to see such a large astronomy community in Ireland.
I recently bought an ETX125EC and am REALLY pleased with it ... it is a fantastic "little" scope. I hope to start taking pictures soon and will post them when i do.
So this note is really just to say hello to everybody and I'm looking forward to many discussions and observing sessions in the future.
I live in Clonmel, and I'd be interested in meeting anybody else relatively close to me witht a scope.

welcome to the boards! I am glad you find it such a nice place - we aim to please! (all major cards accepted!) :lol:

There is a lot here for you to look through, now that you have the ETX-70. It is a great little scope. Many 'members' here have it too, so you should be able to find all the help and comparisons you can think of.

I know Clonmel well. Used to ride with the Clonmel cycling club in the summers when I was younger. Loved cycling up the Comeraghs and The Vee.

Stayed on the Fethard road in Anne Fitzpatrick's house, who owns a flower shop in town. Of course, you have to buy all your flowers from her now.

Up around the vee and the comeraghs is lovely, and there are some great places for astronomy too
