Hi folks,
First post in a long time. Haven't had many opportunities of late to get the scope out. Here is a capture from the 31st January. Seeing and transparency were well above average for a change. My trusty C8 and DMK were used. The best 1000/3000 frames were stacked and processed in Registax 5 and the images were combined in Photoshop CS3.I added the red channel as luminance which helped improved contrast on the surface features. Hope you all like.

I know the feeling with the scope not getting out James - with the weather and assorted lurgies it has been a long time for me too. But you've done well there - very good detail on the red planet and using R instead of L looks to work well as a technique.

That is some image James... I love it when you astrophotographers worth your weight in gold can take an image of the planets and have a real sense of 3D depth to it... take note of the image here!

Thanks for all the kind words guys. I'm just delighted that the conditions were so good so close to opposition for a change! : cheer:
