Hi all, here are the two innnermost planets of our solar system Venus and Mercury lying visually close together in this rare view. Whilst Venus is more greatly known, it is estimated that only 1% of the Earth's population have actually seen Mercury! This is my first time having the opportunity to photograph them toghether in over 15 years observing - so a rare sight

Nice images guys, its rare to get such a high view of Mercury, we had a club outing last night and we all got a view of the 50% phase view of Mercury through the club scopes.

Hi,

Last night (16th April 2010) the young Moon joined the group.

see homepage.eircom.net/~vsn

Tonight (at this moment) Venus is much higher, above Venus.

The sunset sky is also rather red.
