Amazing images there Michael ... well done, I was looking at those features earlier today using the Lunt.
You captured fab detail.
What settings are you using on the DMK?

Thanks Steve.
Fot these images, I am trying to capture both the disc and the proms in one capture. The reason for this is to capture the layer of spicules in between. It's easy enough to capture the disc and the proms as separate videos, but then it's difficult to piece the two together properly while keeping the spicules similar to hw they appear in a telescope.
For the above images, the settings I used with the DMK camera were:
Gain @ lowest setting;
Gamma @ around 150;
Adjust exposure until you get both the disc and proms.
FWIW, if just I wanted to capture the disc only:
Gain @ lowest setting;
Gamma @ around 50;
Keeping the gain down helps to minimise noise.
Hope this helps,
Michael.
