Glad ye enjoyed the images folks. Solar activity will only get better from here on so now is the time to pick up a halpha scope/filter.
Now that is an interesting question Dave.
The TEC140 had a focal length of 980mm.
I also use a Televue 4x Powermate. So, in theory, that brings it to 3,920mm. I also use a f/6.3 focal reducer, so one would expect it to operate at 2,470mm. However, the reduction effect of a focal reducer varies depending on the distance from the chip. I calculated the combined focal length one day to be something like 3.5m - must dig out those calcs again. It works out at a resolution of about 0.5 arcsec per pixel. At this focal length, the resolution is fab but of course it is subject to seeing conditions. At this time of year, I find it best to get my imaging done by 11am at the latest as the seeing conditions get very bad after that due to the heat rising from the ground and the atmosphere becoming more turbulent.
