Sorry everyone but I'm getting it while I can.
Telescope Skywatcher Mak 127mm with 2.5 Barlow and Philips Toucam.
No diagonal used just webcam and Barlow at the back of scope.
Captured 1200 frames @ 10fps and stacked 900 in Registax.
The white dot you see to the right of centre is not a hot pixel but is actually Jupiter's moon Io.

Wow! That's excellent work Tony!
As an alternative to Registax, I recommend trying Avistack - very good!

Thanks Michael,
Never heard of Avistack until now going to Google it, and give it a run tomorrow.

Very good image for a 5 inch Mak.I'd struggle with my 11 inch to get that detail. Well done

Dave, when I try to brighten this image in Registax using the lightness slider I get odd looking rings around the edge of the planet.
So I had a go in PS using curves (I struggle with P S) I have loaded this attempt beside the other for comparison.
John, I spent a lot of time collimating this scope. I bought an artificial star gizmo from www.hubbleoptics.com/artificial-stars.html
for about $20 including postage. Great investment, you can even use it in day light to collimate your scope,
A lot easer than fumbling around in the dark with 2 or 3 Allan keys.
I plan to post a couple of star test images taken with this scope next week for some advice.
(Dangerous or what)
