Hi
Back again after spending some time abroad....., trying to remember imaging workflows etc. Anyway, here are a few images of our nearest Star "Sol", taken on the 2nd of September, 2010, from Waterford.
Solar Mosaic

A Solar Mosaic comprising of 9 images (4 for solar flare activity and 5 for surface detail). Each Image was comprised of the best 900 frames from 2000 per image. Imaged with a Lunt LS60THaDS50 Hyrdogen Alpha Solar Telescope, and a DMK 31AF02.AS firewire camera.

Solar Flare Activity
All of the above were comprised of the best 900 frames from 2000 per image. Imaged with a Lunt LS60THaDS50 Hyrdogen Alpha Solar Telescope 3x Barlow, and a DMK 31AF02.AS firewire camera
