I have finally had a clear but slightly hazy night. Here is a first attempt in a long time to image Jupiter. Taken with a Meade 8" LX10 at F20 in near perfect seeing conditions from the backyard.
For some reason the DBK colour camera is not showing colour. Am I using the wrong codec or gain/exposure settings?

It was quite warm outside so the scope was ready to use as soon as it was taken out of the house.

Some good detail there John, some colour would really add to it.

Thanks Dave. I will try these out.
Next time I won't rush the exposure and also spend some time collimating the C11 beforehand (this was taken with the 8" in a bit of a hurry). I can understand why there are so many good planet photographers in this part of the world. The seeing, especially on warm nights can be exceptional, especially from a city like Melbourne which is right on the sea.
