hi everyone,
just signed up to this site! great to everyone out their getting images of jupiter!
i have attached my first images of jupiter using RGB filters, used my Celestron 9.25, astronomik LRGB filters, DMK.21AU04.AS camera, 30fps, 1500 frames per channel. aligned and stacked in registax5. RGB alignment in paintshop pro, final croping done in paint. the night in question was the 29th, early hours to be spot on, between 00.51 - 53BST. each colour channel was 50 second long, and time was limited changing each filter as jupiter is limited to about 150 seconds before any drift in rotation is noticed. the seeing conditions that night was excellent, very rear for my part of the country! County Mayo:-)
hoping for more nights like this one!!!!!
clear/cloudy skies tonight! with a little wind mixed in for luck:-)
James.

hi carl, i don't have a website setup as yet so i can email you the full res image. had a look at your website! great animation of jupiter!!! beautiful deepsky images too! 10 out of 10!
i have done some webcam imaging the past years which gave me some basic practice, but it has been trial and error but it all came together nicely in the weee early hours of the 29th sept. have to say the DMK mono camera and software is so easy to use! well after some learning curves i must say:-) i don't think i will go back to one shot colour camera's now:-)
clear skies!
