Measuring CCD Linearity

Folks - has anyone successfully measured the linearity of their CCD? If so, how did you do it?

I've a 30m tape measure in the boot of the car. I'll bring it over if ya want. If we stretch it out across the chip, we should be able see how straight and linear the sides of the chip are.....

Seriously though, AFAIK you take a series of exposures of the same star and compare the pixel value to the duration.

I tried the tape-measure route but I couldn't keep the camera shutter open long enough...

I'll try plotting pixel value/exposure time and see what happens...

Id be interested to see the result.

Trouble is, which value to plot... In MaximDL, there's a variety of values available (pixel, average, intensity etc etc). The help documentation doesn't give much away to be honest.

I'll have to do a bit of digging...
