Thanks Dave, This will be of value, since I only got my 300D two weeks ago, lots to learn! Did you see some of the shots I took with it over the weekend - in the astrophotography section.

Keith - the pics you took were excellent. But seeing as a lot of other folks posted what I thought, I didn't want your head getting any bigger

That said, I really liked them. Its refreshing to get wide panoramic sky views rather than highly detailed astro objects (yet another trapezium...)
