SBIG sold... was created by dmcdona
SBIG has been sold to Avi-Tech Electronics Limited (A Singaporean company) for about $3 million. The document below makes very intersting reading - note the absence of the word "astronomy"...

Interesting.
Hope it bodes well for astronomy.
It may see sbig supplying cameras to other scientific markets like other camera manufacturers do.

That might be the problem - ie at the expense of astronomy... The company that bought them has created a new business that will focus on the life sciences. No word of astronomy at all... Guess time will tell but I'd be concerned.
