Cygnus & Cepheus dust was created by Keith g
Hi all, I took advantage of a beautiful clear morning on Sunday last. The sky above was very clear with the Cygnus and Cepheus band of ther milkyway glowing brightly. I took this shot between 4-5am, I think it shows the dust regions reasonably well. At centre right is the North America nebula, while centre left is IC1396.

Hi John, just the astrotrac with 10 x 2.5 minute exposures with the Canon 40D.

Now that is a super image, you can see right into the milkyway there, the bright stars to the lower left of center really look like theyre behind the dark dusty areas, very 3d, its like your seeing across the galaxy, well, I guess to some extent you are!:scope:

Yeah, it was a beautiful sight, something quite serene about it at 5am, the sky worked out just right with a lovely clear view. I hope to go much deeper later this year.....
