For imaging, I expect it to work a bit different to visual.
With imaging, even the smallest piece of dust on a filter leaves a big blob on the image.
Wonder what an occultation disc will do.

Michael,
What you ask is very common for people doing double/binary star work. It is something I looked into for myself and the best solution I came across involved something described by a person for his ST-7 and where he taped a vertical strip of aluminum foil across the window of the CCD chip.
I remember sending him a message but he never replied. Let me try and locate the online PDF's where he describes his procedure.
Anthony.

Michael,
I found the two documents I was looking for ...
(1) www.jdso.org/volume3/number4/Daley.pdf
(2) www.jdso.org/volume2/number2/Daley2.pdf
If you try it, please remember to post your results (good or bad) for our benefit.
Anthony.
