Wing of the Swan was created by Donegal Skies
Hi all,

Well its official- the darkness is back! Last Wednesday night was the first clear, dark skies we had up here since May so i had to get out and get some data. I decided to target the rich region of Cygnus with my 70-300mm lens (set at 70mm) as i am still getting my guiding set up together. There is the result of 18x10mins subs with 12darks. I learned a lot processing this one so i may get a better result if reprocess it some time but this will do for now.

It really is great to have the night back. Roll on the darkness!

Thanks for looking,

Very nice shot.
BTW, what make of lens are you using?

Thanks guys,

Sorry, I forgot to mention the make. Its a Sigma 70-300lens. Cheap and cheerful, nothing special but i am managing to learn ropes ok with it.

Thanks Dave, Very kind of you.

I done the processing on my laptop and after looking at the image on other monitors it looked a bit bright so I darkened it down a tad. Hope it's an improvement?

Thanks again for the taking the time to reply guys.
