Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

]Hi there all
Just got my Photoshop working again so I was able to work on some images I recently took of the Moon and Jupiter and the moon and Venus.
Hope you like them.

Thanks Brendan.
There was a little manipulation via Photoshop as it is not possible to get the exposure right to get both objects correctly as to expose the planet correctly the moon is horribly overexposed. To get some details on the moon the planet is too faint.

Good focus, Paul. I read in my astronomical calendar there is a planetary conjunction coming up on Thursday 9th February. It's the turn of Venus and Uranus. They will be less than 1 degree apart.
Aubrey.

I'll see if I can get it Aubrey, a trip out of the city might help as a longer exposure will be needed to possibly grab Uranus.
