Sugar Loaf 18.03.2012 was created by Nerro
Hi,
Here is one of the two objects i was imaging last night at Sugar Loaf yesterday.
Orion nebula (8x2min shots , 13 darks , 10 flats)
Processed with Deep Sky Stacker
Still need a bit of practice but that's actually my first go at using dark and flat frames.Any comments good or bad are welcome as still on the learning curve

Hi Martin, glad to see that getting cold paid off, beautiful shot, is your camera modified or are the colors changed in processing?

Great image Martin, I'm a big fan of the Running Man Nebula and you've captured it nicely.

Lovely work Martin; bearing in mind that the camera is not modded, you've succeeded in capturing lots of the nebulosity. The processing is excellent, you're mastering the techniques of wide field imaging really quickly. The focusing may be very slightly off? I think you mentioned that you are waiting for a Bahtinov mask - they are great. Cheers, Mike.

Thanks Mike.
Yes you are right about the focusing,i think thats its slightly off aswell.Going to order the mask along with guide rings from first light optics as tired of waiting to show up on AB&S.
The Leo triplet is a disaster...even tho I was only taking 2min shots at ISO800 the noise is unbareble and it was in more light polluted part of the sky trying to eliminate it with photoshop but I don't think I am going to manage it...
