Yea, looks like it is out of focus and too bright.

I have a MS life cam cinema and find the setting /adjustments very sensitive
and can be hard to control even when you think the setting are OK when you start
capturing they have a tendency to jump back a step, very frustrating.
You don’t say what capture software you used but I guess it was SharpCap so try
something different like Wx Astro or Firecapture.
I can’t remember which one works best but I know you can get better control
of the camera in one them so just have a play and see how you get on.
I would try Wx Astro first
And keep the histogram down to about 200/220 and definitely not at max 255 as said
above or you will over expose.

From what I see its simply over exposed.
There maybe focus issues but the dominant problem is over exposure - and this isn't a per channel issue - Mars happens to be red so the effect will be more obvious in the red channel.
I took your jpg and separated it into the three channels and only the red channel was obviously "blurred". I suspect that that is an over exposure issue rather than a focus issue. Green was sweet and blue was mottled (can't really explain that).
Try IRIS or some other software that users have confidence in.
I must emphasise that my analysis assumes that the the processing of original images into the jpg posted didn't affect pixel values significantly.
