This is a shot I got of the "Super Moon" on Saturday May 5th last. This Full Moon was its closest to Earth for 2012, but not the closest ever by a long shot. The change was a mere 0.8% increase in apparent size on April's Full Moon. Captured here over the ruins of Mount Pleasant House (might also be known as Pallas Castle) from my back garden with a Canon 350D, ISO400, 1/80th second exposure, minor sharpening in Photoshop.

Congratulations, Seanie. Great shot. Valerie and I were clouded out at the vital hour.
Split Porrima (Gamma Virginis) nearby though.
