Hi all, I hope you are well! This is my first post on this site, so I will introduce myself too! My name is Phil and I am a 28 year old java programmer from near Bristol in the UK. I have met some of you already up at the Sugar Loaf over the last couple of weeks, and as they know - I am fairly new to Astronomy (life long interest became an obsession about 6 months ago), so I still have an awful lot to learn! Anyway, here is my third attempt at photographing the Moon. Please do leave feedback, positive or negative. As I say I am still learning and I'd love to improve! Here are the Techie details of the image taken last night:
69 shots, using an unmodded Canon 500 EOS DSLR.
used a Celestron 102 SLT (so magnification approx 25x). There were a lot of intermittent clouds last night so I didn't want the hassle of setting up my larger Equatorial scope, as I was not sure if I'd get a chance to take a shot!
f- stop =f/0, exposure time = 1/1000 second, ISO-400. Resolution 4752*3168, jpeg format. I will start using RAW when I am a bit more competent
Stacked using Registax, no post processing....yet!

Hi Val, yeah you met me last Saturday . It was nice meeting you! yeah it's a really good scope and it has served me well! Yeah I probably won't bother venturing up this weekend, the forecast is gloomy. Still, I have 300 more moon images to stack & process . I took about 800 last night, though I doubt 75% of them will be usable - clouds were interloping!
