My first ever image adding HA data to Red Channel was created by CarlightExpress
Hi All
I did my first image with an additional process to capture and add Hydrogen Alpha data to an Image, the image consists of:
36x5Min ISO 1600 using a Astronomik 12nm Hydrogen Alpha Filter
33x5Min ISO 1600 RGB
I added the HA Data to the red channel of the RGB Image of which the following image was the end result:
NGC6888 - Crescent Nebula

Thanks for looking

Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

Indeed you are correct John, 6 hours of exposure time + around 3 hours to process, if you think processing normal RGB images is a task, try adding HA to the mix, got there in the end though
