Thanks! I had to stay up til 4 am for that shot waiting for Orion to enter the visible sky from my back garden!

Good level of detail so far, the Trapezium is a nightmare to capture and add to an image though, I already have a significant amount of HA data for M42 just waiting for some clear night. M42 is visibile for me from about 11pm onwards at the moment. my last image of M42 is here:

This time I will be imaging much higher resolution with the 8" RC, I am already impressed with how much data was captured through the HA filter
My advice for you on this object is to take shorter exposures too, this will bring out the detail of the trapezium, you can then layer mask in photoshop to add that region to your image

Thanks for the advice there, I was wondering why I wasn't getting so much detail in the Trapezium. That is a truly excellent image Simon! Congratulations!
