Alot of detail there that shows not only the main features, but alot of detail that you don't normally see in amateur images. I've seen alot of Jupiter images over the years, I think you have another excellent image that is worthy of study.
The wake on the GRS appears to be very complex. I see you outbreaks on the wake. The large dark EZ festoon seems to be interacting with the dark barge in the NEB as well as the NNTZ LRS been also prominent. Its brought out the NNTB red spots very well. If you monitor Jupiter long enough you might be able to capture the merging of them presuming that may happen. I see the NEBn white spots. Again these need monitoring to see if there are changes. Do they get closer, etc. SEB looks so complex.
The meteorological conditions are so complex on Jupiter that I find it one of the most intriguing shape shifting bodies in the solar system.
Looking forward to many more Jupiter images and wishing you all the best for the New Year.

Hi Eamonn,
Thanks for the reply. That is the great thing about Winjupos it allows you to get a much better S/N ratio. This allows in turn getting a much sharper image; Jupiter has amazing activity at the moment and is my favourite Planet to image. There is always something new every time I look or image this gas giant. I was hoping to capture some of these storms merging but the weather has once again been a nightmare here. The thing I love if you zoom in on my resent images from the 14th to the 19th you can see the difference in altitude and structure of the clouds along the NEB/NProtz especially the image from the 14”. Thanks for taking the time to study the images have a great 2013.
Clear Skies,
Carl.

I got my dates wrong; this image was taking on the 29-12-12 not the 19th. Sorry about that.
