Thanks all.
We have been getting some strange weather lately-unusually hot and dry but clear conditions with good to very good seeing. Hope it lasts

I took Dave Lillis's advice and tried to stack a couple of frames taken on the night using registax. I took the best ten and stacked 7 after converting all the RAW images to large JPEG's. My laptop memory ran out with any more than this (still using Win 32)
I think there is a little more detail visible.

Aubrey - wherabouts is it? I've heard of it before but never seen it...
John - superb detail there. Its an image you could spend ages looking at and let it all soak in. Beautiful shadow detail.
Thanks
Dave

Hi Dave I am not familiar with the Lunar names but I can see the "X" just below the equator to the left of the terminator about 1/3 of the way down. I hope this helps.
