My M42 Imaging Project.

Hi Martin,
There is a lot of layer masking involved to bring out the nebula, TBH it’s not that difficult.This was my first time ever imaging this nebula.

Love the mono capture, it really brings out the fact that
it is a big cloud of dust and mono really shows that..

Have a look at this tutorial by Ken Crawford www.imagingdeepsky.com/Tutorials/Masks/Masks.htm It will give you a great understanding into the process of layer masking. I’ll also be happy to answer any questions you have. Again sorry for the late reply.
