Jupiter and Mars Monday 10th was created by tony h
It’s been a while since I posted, just moved house and all that goes with that, haven’t had much time for astro work. Did manage a couple of shots Monday night.
Scope 8” f8 Newtonian, camera ASI 120Mc and 2x barlow.
Software… Firecapture Regstax 6 and photoshop.
Jupiter 180 secs and Mars at 60sec exposure.

Hope you like.

Hi there Tony,
Excellent images.
Considering you use a color camera, amazing!
Surely a wake up call for all using monochrome cameras.
and colour filters for planetary imaging.

Wow thats amazing. What time did you take the shot of Mars? I looked at it through my scope but was too low to see any detail.

Thanks all for your comments much appreciated.

Alan, I thought long and hard about a mono camera but with limited time and sky conditions
I went with colour, there are some amazing images with mono and filters. But not for me at the moment.

Derek, it was 12.10 and I was just finishing up for the evening after about an hour imaging Jupiter,
Mars is very low, just above roof tops in my back garden, really poor sky conditions shooting
through a lot of muck, but as I was set up thought I give it a go, looked terrible in the eyepiece
but happy with the way it turned out.
